The Collezione Paolo VI - arte contemporanea

The new exhibition halls of the Associazione Arte e Spiritualità, erected in Concesio (just a few kilometres north of Brescia) near the birthplace of this Brescia-born Pope was formally opened on November 8, 2009 with its inauguration by Pope Benedict XVI as the Collezione Paolo VI - arte contemporanea (Paul VI Collection - Contemporary Art). Adjacent to the museum stand the offices of the Paul VI Institute, the Vittorio Montini Auditorium, and the birthplace of Pope Paul VI. The Collection, displayed over three floors occupying a total of about 1,250 square metres, offers a main itinerary as well as sections specifically dedicated to graphics and medals. Furthermore, there are areas reserved for temporary exhibits or installations and a spacious didactic workshop.
